Assistant Facility Director Position
Summary:
Assist the Facility Director in all aspects of the operation of the facility and programs.
Act as Facility Director in his/her absence.
Interpret and implement policies and procedures established by the Facility Director, Director of Day Services and Central Administration.
Insure overall program is in compliance with established procedures and government regulations.
Provide individual and group counseling, training, supervision and support to program participants as directed by the Facility Director.
Provide each program participant the opportunity to be independent and productive according to their individual capabilities with opportunities for choice and social integration into their community.
Cooperate with the overall policies, procedures and goals of the Agency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Function A:
Assist the Facility Director in the day to day operations of the facility and programs.
Function B:
Maintain program participant caseload as determined by the Facility Director which includes formulating and implementing goals, preparing written evaluations, progress reports and case summaries and serve as program participants' advocate in terms of referrals for outside services as well as coordinate services to program participants.
Function C:
Maintain adequate, complete and up to date records and other documentation in compliance with all federal, state and city regulations.
Function D:
Provide continued, adequate, on-going assistance, guidance and supervision to the staff.
Function E:
Assist in programmatic administrative responsibilities such as participation on agency wide committees (i.
e.
safety committee, incident review committee) Function F:
Comply with all agency standards, rules, practices, policies and procedures.
Function G:
Assist as needed in activity rooms and for community inclusion, including giving medications as needed.
Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree with at least one year working with individuals with developmental disabilities OR an Associate's degree with at least two years' experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities OR high school diploma with five years' experience, supervisory experience a plus.
SCIP-R and AMAP certifications Physical Demands:
Requires moderate physical effort on a regular basis as in frequent traveling, standing, walking, bending, prolonged sitting, and stooping, reaching and/or occasional lifting.
Working Conditions:
Highly stressful environment, interactions with individuals who have physical and emotional difficulties, therefore, must be able to maintain clam in the face of verbal, emotional and/or physical challenges from program participants.
